Getting Big!!!!

Marcus is now 25" long and weighs approx. 15 lbs. I say approximately because he wouldn't hold still on the scale for even 2 seconds while the nurse tried to weigh him. After a couple of minutes she gave up. I am still amazed at how quickly he is growing. He didn't stay little long enough!

He also received his first set of shots today. He did surprisingly very well!!!!! Praise the Lord! He cried when he received the shots (3 of them) and maybe 5 seconds afterwards and that was it!!! He cries more when he gets impatient for his bottle. : )

2 Months Old!

It's still sometimes hard to believe that Marcus is mine. I LOVE being a Mom! It's so amazing to watch him grow and learn new things every day. He loves watching Jerry and I move in and out of a room and tries his best to mimic the funny sounds we make and our facial expressions (especially sticking out our tongue). He's always smiling too! All I have to do is say "Give Mommy a smile" or make a strange sound and he'll smile all over himself. A couple of times it even sounded like he giggled! The thing that amazes me the most is when he's just staring at the ceiling and smiling. He's so content and easy going - like his Daddy. The Lord has truly blessed us and I can't wait to see what He has in store for our little one. Please pray for us - we need an increase in wisdom and discernment as we raise him in the ways of our Lord.

He's Finally Here!!!!!

Marcus Alexander arrived at 9:38 am on Wednesday, September 13th, weighing 7 lbs. 13 oz. and measuring 20 inches. He was born with a full head of hair (which confirmed the old wives tale about heartburn) and a great set of lungs. He screamed the entire time the nurses had him and settled down once Mommy and Daddy held him. That made me feel really good!!!!
